If you need materials for every learner in your room, you’re in the right place.

Making your life easier is my jam!

Ok, let's get it over with.

I know what you want to know.

Why the name "Giraffic Jam?"

It's simple really...I love giraffes and jokes.

So, 'Why was the giraffe late?'

'Because he got caught in a Giraffic Jam!'

Hello! My name is Stephanie, and I'm so glad you are here!

In 2011, I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher.  Since then, I’ve had several roles including 1st grade general education teacher, 2nd grade general education teacher, and close adult support instructional assistant.

But, I knew my heart truly belonged in special education.  I started teaching inclusion in 2016 and I’ve never looked back!

I currently work in a Title 1 school with an extremely high poverty rate.  All of the students on my caseload are fully included in the general education classroom with their grade-level peers.

So, I know better than anyone how important it is to have materials that are accessible by all students.

My goal with Giraffic Jam is simple.  I want to create materials that are effective for every learner in your classroom, while making your job easier.  I know how time-consuming it can be to find and create resources that are ‘just right’ for your students.  Teachers are busy enough these days. I want to free up your time so you can focus on teaching, not creating resources.  When you purchase from my store, you know you are buying a resource from someone who is in the classroom and knows exactly what you need.

I love to connect with my customers!  Please let me know what I can do to help you and your students.

A little more about me...

My husband and I live in Maryland with our 2 dogs and 3 cats.  While you won’t see many pictures of the cats (they don’t cooperate with picture taking) my dogs will sit nicely if you offer them a piece of cheese.  So if classroom tips and dog pictures are your thing, you need to follow me on Instagram!

When I’m not working on new resources or writing lesson plans, you can usually catch me binge-watching murder mystery shows or reading a book.  I also love to do diamond painting and I just recently started cross-stitching.  Another hobby of mine is nail dipping – I have way more colors than I will ever use, and yet somehow I’m always buying more!

I believe it’s important to know the qualifications of the person who is creating resources for you to use in your classroom.  I’m proud to say that I:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Have a Master’s Degree in Special Education
  • Am a Level 1 and Level 2 Google Certified Educator
  • Am a Schoology Master Teacher
  • Have certification to teach special education, early childhood education, & elementary education
